QPR® QualiTherm

QPR® QualiThermSM is a multifunctional, nonaqueous liquid additive designed for use in both warm mix and hot mix asphalt applications. It reduces both mixing and compaction temperatures in warm mix asphalt and improves work-ability in hot mix asphalt.
QPR® QualiThermSM is used to produce warm mix asphalt at mixing temperatures close to 248°F (120°C) with lay down and compaction temperatures in the area of 194°F (90°C).
QPR® QualiThermSM is dosed into liquid asphalt cement binders at a recommended dosage of 0.2-0.3% of the binder weight. This can be accomplished by pre-dosing the liquid asphalt cement at the supply terminal, or by in-line dosing directly into the liquid asphalt cement. Both of these options permit the production of warm mix asphalt without significant modifications to the asphalt plant, either batch or drum. QPR® QualiThermSM is compatible with conventional asphalt cement so plants can switch back to producing conventional hot-mix with no down time.
